In the Towns included in the Fourth Senatorial District, or District of Kennebec the whole number of votes legally and constitutionally returned is 22408 Necessary to a choice 3735. Samuel P. Benson has 4101 Luther Severance -"- 4092 Elijah Robinson -"- 4065. and are elected.

In the Towns included in the Fifth Senatorial District, or District of Waldo, the whole number of votes legally and constitutionally is 6267. Necessary to a choice 1567. Josiah Staples has 2662. Benjamin Carr -"- 2698. and are elected.

In the Towns and Plantation included in the Sixth Senatorial District or District of Hancock, the whole number of votes legally and constitutionally returned is 1690. Necessary to a choice 846. John R. Redman has 932 and is elected.
