Met according to adjournment.

Mr Steward of Anson moved the following order Ordered, That the Committee on State Roads be directed to enquire into the expediency of making an appropriation to assist in making a road from the Forks of Kennebec River to Moosehead Lake, which was passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bills - An Act to incorporate the Proprietors of the Franklin House - - An Act to incorporate the Maine Silk Culture and Manufacturing Company - - An Act to renew the Charter of Kittery Point Bridge - - An Act to authorize Aldermen of Cities, and Selectmen of Towns to appoint measurers of salt, corn & grain - - An Act to incorporate the Machias Water Power & Mill Dam Company - An Act to incorporate the North American Manufacturing Company were severally read a 1st & 2d time and assigned for a 3d reading on Monday next at 10 oclock. -

Resolves in favor of Joshua Elder - - in favor of Joshua Hathaway - were severally read once & Monday next a 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Bill - An Act to extend the powers of Justices of the Peace in certain cases was read 1st & 2d time & Thursday next assigned for a 3d reading & 300 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the members.
