1143 A.(cont.) were not struck or abused. They were not injured in anyway or shape. I have taken hold of them and helped push them into the house. And it's quite often that one will refuse to go in. Some times they have left the place and I have been after them and found them and they would not want to come back and I would take hold of them with others and we would have to lug them along nearly. But they were not abused or hurt. Q. Should you call it abusing a man to slap him? A. I should Q. Should you call it abusing a man to push him in the back hard? A. Yes sir Q. To raise your foot to kick him to get him along? A. I should Q. Should you call it abuse to take him by the coat collar and boost him along with your knee or foot? A. Yes sir Q. You never struck any patient with your hand? A. No sir, I have taken hold of them, but not to abuse or hurt them. I never did those things.
