1122 Q. You were so held by the officers of the service ? A. Yes sir Q. What warning had you in regard to the issuing of any poor or tainted meat? A. That I would be immediately discharged from the service Q. Were your duties laborious or otherwise? A. While I was cook my duties were very laborious Q. You call them extremely laborious? A. At times they were Q. For about how many patients per day did you have the care of providing meat? A. Some where near 400, averaged that Q. This was for every day in the week, I suppose when there was meat served? A. Yes sir Q. I suppose there was some meat served on Sunday? A. Yes usually had cold corned beef for breakfast Sunday morning Q. Were you present and attended to duty as a general rule on Sunday? A. Yes sir Q. And you worked 7 days in a week? A. As a general thing Q. In handling so much food as this, did you find it all difficult to examine it all?
