1119 A.(cont.) upper first, They all eat in there from the upper floor, that is the extent. Q. There are 15 tables, what do I understand you when you say you carry in 8 bouquets a day? A. If I carry in one morning 16 or 18 bouquets they will last from one to two mornings, just as the temperature in the hall is, then I carry in the next morning somewhere else, or cut them loose if the flowers remain on the table. By Mr. Hall Q. Did you ever see anyone treated unkindly over there in anyway ? A. I could not say that I did. Q. Ever see a man kicked? A. Not that I remember Q. Ever see a man struck? A. I could not say I did. I have been there about a year and a half. Q. Ever seen a man thrown down violently? A. I could not say I did Q. Your duties keep you out in the garden most altogether? A. No my duty is to take care of the plants in the halls on the female side, look after them all through the building and outside too.
