1078 Q. Do you tell them to go when the superintendent doesn't? A. No sir, Sometimes he gives orders that the team shall be used whenever it is not in use for other purposes. At present we are using our teams very much for other purposes. Sometime he will speak of it everyday and sometimes he will not. There is a general standing order that the team shall be out and the patients go out to ride whenever it is warm and comfortable enough for them to go. General standing orders to employ the team for recreation of the patients at all times when it would do them any good and when not otherwise engaged. Q. Have they taken them out on an average once a week, should you say, the past year or two? A. Yes sir. Q. All the patients? A. Oh, no sir Q. All that are fit to go out? A. No sir, I don't know how many are fit to go out. It is a matter I know nothing about. I simply know the team is used as much as the superintendent directs.
