by the system known as indirect radiation, which is the heating from a surface which is not in the direct contact with the surface to be heated. It is the production of heated air at some distant point and conveying it to the point where it is to be used as heated air. Now these lodges are independent in their construction from the wings of which they are a portion, by reason of a partition which entirely excludes them from said wings. this partition or wing of which they are a portion, and this lodge is cut off very much as if you draw a line across the end of this table. Then there is a lower middle and upper lodge in each case. The lower floor communicates with the lower third and also with the lower second wards; the middle one with the middle third and the middle second wards. The several floors of the lodges communicate with the contiguous wards. Q. Each lodge is for the wards of that floor
