Q. What is the price of board in the private hall A. $7 a week. Q. Are any of these private patients ever obliged to give up their room and sleep in the general hall? A. When they are unable to keep private rooms they do. When they are violent or filthy so that they cannot keep a private room they give it up and sleep in the general hall. Q. Are there no other circumstances A. No sir. Q. There is one very violent lady from Mass. in the condition you speak of, and has to stay out in the lodge a great deal A. Every week perhaps Q. Is there any difference made in the price of board when this is done? A. No sir. Q. Charge the same, $7 a week A. Yes sir Q. Does this lady ever have to go without much clothing A. She sometimes does. Q. Are the friends of the patients notified of their change or their consent obtained? A. It is. Q. When they are taken out A. Not every time.
