What means of heating were in those old bath-rooms before these new methods A. None except the heated hall or ward. Q. These rooms have never had any means of heat for them all these years A. No, sir. Q. Are there any wash-bowls in these bath-rooms A. There are more now. Q. In any of the bath rooms A. No sir not in the new ones. Q. How do they get washed in the old ones A. They usually open the faucet supplying the water to the bath-tub and let it run, and wash in that way. Q. That is all then A. They have wash dishes which they put onto a table which is in the room. Some rooms have wash dishes and some do not. Q. Are they common the wash dishes A. Yes sir.
