Mr. Littlefield, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported leave to withdraw on petition of Ruth Kent - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Mr Rogers, from the Committee on Agriculture reported legislation inexpedient on petition of Thomas Smith - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Resolve requiring the Cashiers of Banks to make returns of the names of Stockholders came up - the House noncurring the Senate in their amendment B and insisting on its vote passing said Resolve to be engrossed with the amendment A, propose a conference and appoint as conferees Messrs. Vance of Calais, Ide of Frankfort, and Vance of Readfield. The Senate insist on their vote of the 28th January, passing said Resolve to be engrossed with the amendments A and B concur with the House in the proposition for a conference and appoint as conferees, on their part, Messrs. Burr, Maqoun and J.R. Redman.

Bill to incorporate the Frenchman's Bay Granite Company (reported by Mr Woodman from the Committee on Manufactures, on petition of Charles H. Pierpoint and others; -"- to incorporate the Boston and Castine Steam Mill Company (reported by same on petition of William L. Wheeler and others;
