Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of so altering on amending the law, that witnesses in our Supreme Courts and Courts of Common Pleas shall be better remunerated for their services - read and passed in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the Committee on the State Prison to inquire into the expediency of erecting a new States Prison agreeably to the Report of the Commissioners made in 1835. - read and passed, in concurrence.

Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the Committee on the Militia to inquire into the expediency of appropriating the sum of Three Hundred Dollars for the purpose of making addition to, and repairing the Gunhouse at Calais - read and passed, in concurrence.

Petition of Joseph Hockey and others; -"- of John Hemenway and others, praying for a repeal of the law - regulating the practice of Physic and Surgery - severally read and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
