In Senate. On motion of Mr Littlefield: Ordered that the Secretary of the Senate be directed to notify Asa Redington Jun. that he has been duly elected Treasurer of State for the current political year.

On motion of Mr Benson. Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be directed to inquire into the expediency of making further provision by law for the protection of the interest of Mortgages their assigns, on venders in Mortgaged property. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

On motion of Mr Littlefield, Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire if any, and what alterations are necessary in the laws now inform for the relief of Poor Debtors. Sent down for concurrence concurred.

On motion of Mr Burr. Ordered, that the Committee on the Judiciary be directed to inquire and report on the expediency of repealing the Act entitled "an Act additional, regulating the inspection of Beef and Pork," passed March 6th 1835" Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

On motion of Mr Severance. Ordered, that the Committee on Agriculture be instructed to inquire whether any alteration is necessary in the law fixing the weight of oats
