Petition of George Pierce and others, praying for an amendment to the "Act to incorporate the Emerson Sluice Company."

Remonstrance of James W. North and others against the petition of Amasa Dangley and others, praying for leave to build a Dam across the Sedasticook River severally read and referred to the Committee on Interior Waters, in concurrence.

Petition of the Maine, N. Hampshire and Massachusetts Rail Road Corporation praying for a portion of the Surplus Revenue to construct their road;

Petition of the town of Alfred on relation to the Surplus Revenue - severally came up from the House referred to the Committee on Rails Roads and Canals.

The Senate nonconcur with the House in their reference and refer said petitions to the Committee that have under consideration so much of the Governor's Message as relates to the Surplus Revenue. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
