The return from Lubec was signed by, but one Selectman on the inside; but the certificate on the outside was signed by two of them, and properly attested by the Town Clerk - the votes were counted. The return from Trenton was signed by but one Selectmen on the outside; but by two of them on the inside, and properly attested by the Town Clerk - the votes were counted. The return from the plantation of Swan's Island was not signed on the outside by the assessors, but signed by them on the inside, and attested by the Clerk - the votes were counted. By the return of the Selectmen of Newey, it appears that thirteen votes for Governor were received by them from the inhabitants of an uncorporated place called "Andover West Surplus" and three votes from the inhabitants of a township called "Holmes" or "Reedsville." By the return from the Selectmen of Linneus, it appears that six votes were received by them from the inhabitants of an uncorporated place, called "Township A" in the second range of township west from the east line of the State." - By the return from the Selectmen of Springfield it appears that thirty two votes were received by them from the inhabitants of "East Springfield."
