464 Resolve concerning the North Eastern Territory of the United State claimed by Great Britain (reported by Mr. Johnson from the Joint Select Committee to which were referred Resolves passed by the General Court of Massachusetts, concerning the North Eastern Territory of the United State claimed by Great Britain) read the second time, amended and passed to be engrossed. Send down for concurrence. Concurred.
Bill to incorporate the Bucksport Mill and Water pawer Company (reported by Mr. Miller from the Committee on Interior Waters, on petition of Samuel Little and others) -"- additional for the preservation of Fish in Penobscot River. -"- to incorporate the Thomaston Meadow Lime Rock Company (introduced in the House) severally read once and three o'clock in the afternoon assigned for a second reading.
A message was received from the Governor transmitting Resolution of the assembly of the State of Pennsylvania relative to the distribution of the proceed arising from the sale of the Public Lands, and for other purposes- read and - sent down.
The Committee on Agriculture reported legislation inexpedient on an order relative to hulling barley -- read and accepted in concurrence.
Bill to incorporate the Kennebec and Portland Rail Road Company came up from the House further amended. The Senate recede from their vote passing the same to be engrossed, adopt the amendments proposed by the House and pass said Bill to be engrossed as amended in concurrence.
