Resolve making appropriation for Military purposes (reported in the House by the Committee on the Militia severally read once and nine o'clock tomorrow morning assigned for a second reading.
Bill to incorporate the Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts Rail Road Corporation, -"- authorizing the owners of March on back creek in the town of Woolwich to erect a dike, -"- additional to an act to prevent fraud in fire wood, bark on coal, exposed for sale, -"- additional to incorporate the Moosehead Dam Company, severally read the second time and passed to be engrossed, in concurrence.
Bill to incorporate the Hallowell Granite Rail Road Company was read the second time and amended, and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Bill to incorporate the Vassalborough Paper Manufacturing Company was read the second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
Bill concerning assignments was read the second time and the same, on motion of Mr. Greene was laid upon the table.
Bill to set off a tract of land from Lewiston to Greene came up --- the House, insisting on their former vote passing said Bill to be engrossed propose a Conference. The Senate nonconcur with the House in their proposition for a conference, and adhere to their vote postponing said Bill indefinitely. Sent down for concurrence.
