Tuesday, March 22d, 1836.

Resolve further providing for the promulgation of the laws of the State came up --- the House, insisting on their vote passing the same to be engrossed, postpone a conference. The Senate nonconcur the House in their proposition for a conference and still adhere to their former vote indefinitely postponing the same. Sent down for concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Saltwater Walls Company, came up from the House amended. The Senate recede from their vote passing the same to be engrossed, adopt the amendments proposed by the House and pass the same to be engrossed as amended, in concurrence.

Bill to incorporate the Bank of Westbrook was read the second time. And the question of passing the same to be engrossed was decided in the Affirmative as follows, to wit: Yeas. Messrs Benson, Clark, Fish Jarvis, Jewett, Kelsey, Latham, McIntire, Merrow, Pierce, Severance, Spear, Strickland, Swift, Talbot and Weeks 16. Nays. Messrs. Allen, Johnson and Miller 3. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.

Bill to incorporate the bank of Oldtown was read the second time. And the question of passing the same to be engrossed was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit: Yeas.
