366 Tuesday, March 15, 1836 Order from the House of Representatives, instructing the Committee on the Judiciary to inquire into the expediency of establishing another term of the Supreme Judicial Court within and for the County of Washington -- read and passed in concurrence.
Order from the House of Representative, directing the Secretary of State to cause to be published, in the several papers within this State, in which the several Acts are promulgated, an Act passed March 2d, 1833 requiring the inspectors of smoked and pickled fish to make annual returns of their inspection to the Office of the Secretary of State -- read and passed in concurrence.
Petition of George M. Chase and other praying to be incorporated by the name of the St. Croix Steam Navigation Company - read and referred to the Committee on Interior Waters, in concurrence.
Report on Resolve in favor of Solomon Littlefield came up. The House nonconcur in the indefinite postponement of said Resolve and accept the report recommending the reference of said Resolve to the Joint Select Committee that reported it for a statement of facts. The Senate recede from their vote indefinitely postponing said Resolve and accept said report in concurrence.
