Bill to prohibit Agencies for Banks out of the State private Banking, and to regulate Banks and Banking (reported by Mr. Jarvis from the Committee on Banks. and Banking and also in relation to the circulation of notes and checks of the United States Bank) was read once and ordered, on motion of Mr. Jarvis, that 300 copies of said Bill be printed for the use of the Legislature, and Saturday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
Bill additional to an Act to establish the Sagadahoe Ferry Company (reported by Mr. Talbot from the Committee on Roads and Bridges on petition of said Company) -"- to incorporate the Maine Farmers' Loan and Trust Company (taken up) severally read once and tomorrow at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
Bill to incorporate the Vassalborough and Sidney Dam Company (reported by Mr. Miller for the Committee on Interior Waters on petition of Alnel Getchell
