-ported leave to withdraw on petition of Winslow Hall and others - read and accepted, in concurrence.
Bill altering an Act entitled an Act concerning Pounds, Beasts impounded and stray Beasts came up from the House committed to the Committee on the Judiciary - read and committed in concurrence.
Resolve respecting the Shire town of the County of Hancock came up from the House further amended, and the same on motion of Mr. Benson was laid on the table.
On motion of Mr. Talbot, The Senate reconsider their vote of the 20th instant passing to be engrossed "Bill to incorporate the Machias Water power and Mill Dam Company" and the same was amended by striking out the word "Dam" in the title and other places in the Bill to make it correspond with the same. And said Bill was further amended by adding a new section; and the same was laid on the table on motion of Mr. Benson.
Bill defining certain rights and duties of Rail Road Corporations, on motion of Mr. Miller was taken up and further considered and the same was ordered to lie on the table.
Resolve requiring the Treasurer to pay the members of the Legislature and distribute the School fund in Gold and Silver, came up
