and the question of adopting said amendments, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative as follows, to wit, Yeas. Messrs Benson, Jarvis, McIntire, Merrow, Pierce, Severance and Spear. 7. Nays. Messrs. Clark, Greene, Johnson, Latham, Mantor, Miller, Purinton, Staples, Swift, Talbot and Weeks. 11. The 6th and 7th Sections, on motion of Mr. Purinton were transposed, and on motion of Mr. Merrow the further consideration of said Bill was postponed and ordered that 300 copies of the same be printed for the use of the Legislature.
