162. Mr. Serverance from the Joint Select Committee to which was referred the communication of Thomas Freeman Spear a distinguished artist of the City of Boston proposing to sell to the State of Maine a copy of Stewart's celebrated legislation on that subject in inexpedient. Read and Accepted.

Report of the Inspectors of the State Prison and Report of the Commissioners relating to the State Prison were taken up and severally referred to the Committee on the State Prison. Sent down for concurrence and concurred.
Bill additional to incorporate the Bangor and Oldtown Railway Company reported by the Committee on Rail Roads and Canals on Petition of the Bangor and Orono Rail Road Company was read once and the same on motion of Mr.Jarvis was recommitted with instructions to report a statement of facts,. Bill to set off Nathaniel Barrel from the town of Warren and annex him to the town of Camden reported in the House by the Committee on Division of Towns on the petition of Nathaniel Carril. restricting the powers of County Commissioners in certain cases reported in the house by the Committee on Judiciary on an order to County Commissioners.
