-diner, by way of Brunswick with liberty to extend the same to Augusta; Petition of Nathan Winslow and others, praying that the Charter of the Bangor and Piscataquis Canal and Rail Road Company may be so far amended as to enable them to extend their Road from the mouth of Great Works Stream on the east side of Penobscot River up said River to the mouth of Mattawamkeag River - severally read and referred to the Committee on Rail Roads and Canals in concurrence.
Mr Merrow, from the Committee on Division of Towns reported leave to withdraw on petition of Solomon McKenny and others - read and accepted. Sent down for concurrence.
Report of the Committee on Claims, giving leave to withdraw on petition of Solomon Littlefield, came up from the House referred to a Joint Select Committee, consisting of Messrs Shaw of Sanford, Davis of Mt Vernon, Gordon of Belfast, Holmes of Alfred and Chadbourne of Standish, with such as the Senate may join.
The Senate nonconcur with the House in their reference and recommit the same to the Committee on Claims. Sent down for concurrence.
