Petition of Elijah Grover praying for an Act to facilitate the passage of lumber over Karratunk Falls in Somerset County;
Petition of "Moose Head Lake Steam Navigation Company," praying for alteration of their Charter, severally read and referred to the Committee on Interior Waters in Concurrence.
A communication was received from Asa Redington Jr. signifying his acceptance of the Office of Treasurer, accompanied by the Treasurer's Bond - read and referred to the Joint Select Committee to which was referred the Treasurer's Report. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
Communications were received from Joshua Gould, Clerk of the Judicial Courts for the County of Somerset and Rufus K. Goodenow, Clerk of the Judicial Courts for the County of Oxford, on the subject of Capital Offences and Convictions therefor in said Counties - read and referred to the Committee on Capital Punishments. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred.
