Petition of Jesse Russell Jr. and another, praying for liberty to build a dam across Brooking's bay; -"- of Joseph Berry and others, praying to be incorporated with the privilege of erecting a dam from Spinney's and Mar's Island to the main land; -"- of Barnard C. Bailey and others, praying to be incorporated into a Company by the name of Parker's Bay Mill company - severally read and referred to the committee on Interior Waters in concurrence.
Petition of William Thomas, -"- of John Carleton, -"- of Catherine Babbidge, praying for the grant of 200 acres of land - severally read and referred to the Committee on State Lands in concurrence.
Petition of the Selectmen of Kennebunk Port, praying for an amendment of the Constitution - came up referred to a Joint Select Committee consisting on the part of the house of Messrs Perkins, Chase, Chadbourne, Stanley, Eastman, McDowall, Davis Whitmore, Bridges and Lake with such as the Senate may join, - read and referred and Messrs, Latham, Spear and Strickland are joined in concurrence
