Petition of Amos M Roberts & others to be incorporated as the Penobscot River Rail Road Company was read & referred in concurrence to the next Legislature.

Bill - An Act in addition to an act entitled "an act to secure to owners their property in logs, masts, spars & other timber came from the Senate amended for concurrence, and the House passed the Bill to be engrossed as amended in concurrence.

Bill - An Act incorporating the Vassalboro Paper Manufacturing Company was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve concerning the State Prison was taken up, read a second time and 300 copies of the same, ordered to be printed for the use of the members.

Resolve for the purchase of a national flag for the use of the State was read a second time & passage refused.

Bill - An Act to establish a municipal court in the town of Augusta, came from the Senate that body insisting upon their vote passing the Bill to be engrossed as amended - proposing a conference and appointing as Conferees on their part Messrs Severance, Johnson & Benson - The House insist upon their vote passing
