332. oaths and take acknowledgements of Deeds, was read a 1st & 2d time and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act to set off a tract of land from Lewiston to Greene - - An Act more effectually to suppress Houses of ill fame - - An Act additional to an Act to regulate the taking of Alewives in Woolwich - - An Act to increase the Capital Stock of the Mercantile Bank - were severally read 1st & 2d time and Monday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Report of Conferees on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses on Bill to regulate the execution of the punishment of Death, on the part of the House that the House adhere to their vote passing the Bill to be engrossed, was read and accepted.
