On motion of Mr Fletcher of Thomaston - Ordered, That the Governor & Council be instructed to transmit to this House the accounts of the Land agent for the last year and the settlement thereof or any other papers necessarily connected therewith. Sent up for concurrence.

Report on petition of Daniel Lane & others referring the same to the next Legislature, was read & ordered to lie on the table until Tuesday next.

The Committee on Bills engrossed report as truly engrossed Bill - An Act prohibiting the emission & circulation of Bank Bills of a small denomination and certain others - which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence, and the question was taken by yeas & nays and decided as follows yeas 95 nays 70 [ see appendix page 111.]

Mr Packard Holton has leave of absence from and after Monday next & Mr Dearing of Kittery from and after the same time.

Leave to Withdraw was granted in concurrence on Petition of Edward Smith & others - - Francis Brained & others -

Report on petition of Amos Davis & others - - John McDonald & others - - Reuel Williams & others - referring the same to the next Legislature, were severally accepted in concurrence.

Report discharging the Committee on Division of Towns was read & accepted in concurrence.
