{requiring a sluiceway to be constructed on the Meduxnekeag Stream and for other purposes - were severally read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve making appropriations for military purposes was amended and then read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Clinton Company was read once and again and tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as truly engrossed. Bill - An Act additional to an Act to incorporate the Bangor and Oldtown Railway Company which was passed to be enacted. Sent up for concurrence.

The same Committee reported as truly engrossed - Resolve - additional in favor of certain Officers & Soldiers of the Revolutionary War and the widows of the deceased Officers and Soldiers - for the repeal of a Resolve providing for the appointment of School Commissioners - which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Portland, Saco & Portsmouth Rail Road Company, laid on the table by Mr Emery of Saco, was read 1st & 2d time and 300 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the members & assigned for a 3d reading at 10 oclock tomorrow & referred to Messrs Emery of Saco, Cogswell of Berwick Lyman of Portland, Chadwick of Gardiner & Farley of Newcastle -
