Met according to adjournment.

Petition of James S Holmes & report thereon was referred in concurrence to the Committee on State Roads.

Report on petition of Josiah Parlin & others ordering Notice, was read & accepted in concurrence.

Report on petition of Solomon McKenney & others granting Leave to Withdraw - came from the Senate accepted for concurrence - The House nonconcurred & recommitted the same. Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee on the Division of Towns reported that they have disposed of all the business before them , and requested to be discharged - and the report was laid in the table.

Petition of George Stevens & others - came from the Senate referred to the next Legislature for concurrence; and the House concurred.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Howes Line Stage Company, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed in concurrence.

Resolve in favor of the Belfast & Quebec Rail Road was read a second time and amended and then passed to be engrossed by yeas & nays - yeas 97 nays 65 ( appendix page 76)

The Committee on engrossed Bills reported as truly engrossed Bill - An Act to change the name of the Maine Granite Company - An Act to authorize Jesse Russell Junr and
