Met according to adjournment.

Resolve laying a tax on the several Counties in this State, was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d Reading.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Proprietors of the Calais Temperance House, was read a 3d time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve providing for indexes to certain Journals was read a second time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Thaddeus Hubbard & others for aid in the establishment of an Academy was read & referred to the Committee on Literature & Literary Institutions. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Machias Water Power and Mill Company, was read a 3d time and passed to be engrossed as in new draft. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Waterville College was read once & Friday next at 10 oclock assigned for a 2d reading

Bill - An Act to divorce Suie [?] W Dore from Nancy Dore his wife, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Bill - An Act in relation to indictments against towns for neglect to repair their highways, was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
