242. Order - relative to divorces for the cause of drunkenness & - relative to amending "An act to annex to the town of Litchfield to the County of Kennebec and the reports were severally accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Bills - An Act granting additional powers to the Proprietors of the New Congregational Meeting House in Saco - - An Act to incorporate the South Berwick Manufacturing Company - - An Act to incorporate the Proprietors of the Franklin Bridge - - An Act to incorporate the Bank Extract Corporation - - An Act to incorporate the Proprietors of the Calais Temperance House - - An Act to incorporate the North Yarmouth and Freeport Stage Company were severally read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Resolve - further providing for the promulgation of the Laws of the State - was read once & tomorrow at 10 o'clock assigned for a second reading.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Machias Water Power and Mill Dam Company, was read a third time & referred to the Committee on Manufactures on the part of the House

Bill - An Act to regulate the execution of the punishment of Death, came from the Senate indefinitely postponed - The House insist upon their vote passing the same - propose a Conference and appoint as conferees on their part Messrs Holmes of Alfred, Foster of Pembroke & Hobbs of Eastport. Sent up.
