Resolve in favor of the Trustees of the town of Burlington, was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.
Bill An Act concerning Corporations, was read 1st & 2d time and tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a 3d reading.
Resolve for the appointment of a Commissioner of the Insane Hospital, was read once & tomorrow at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading.
Bill - An Act additional to an Act to provide for the inspection of Hops for exportation, was read a 3d time and passed to be engrossed as amended on Sheet annexed marked A. Sent up for concurrence,
Notice was Ordered on the petition of Nathaniel Stevens & others in concurrence with the Senate.
A message was received from the Governor [ see appendix page 17.] in answer to the order of the House of the 3d instant, which was read and referred to the Committee on Rail Roads & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the St Croix Navigation Company was read a 1st & 2d time and ordered to be upon the table & 300 copies ordered to be printed for the use of the members.
Bill - An Act to incorporate the Maine Scythe & Shovel Manufacturing Company, was recommitted to the Committee on Manufactures. Sent up for concurrence.
