Petition of John G Heath & others for a modification of the Law - regulating mills - was read & referred to the Committee on Interior Waters. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of John Dickinson & others to be incorporated by the name of the East Machias Canal Company - was read & referred to the Committee on Rail Roads & Canals. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of Simon P. Green & others to be incorporated by the name of the Penobscot Manufacturing Company - was read & referred to the Committee on Manufactures. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act in relation to petitions for acts of incorporation for Canals on Rail Roads was read a second time and amended as on sheet A - and then on motion of Mr Hobbs recommitted with instructions.

Report on the petition of Anson G Chandler came from the Senate referred to the Committee on Interior Waters. and the House concurred.
