On motion by Mr Brown of East Machias Ordered, That the committee on the Judiciary be directed to enquire into the expediency of enlarging the powers of Constables, in the town of East Machias in the County of Washington. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of N.M. Sowney & others for an alteration of the law respecting Blacksmith Shops was read & referred to Messrs Gordon of Belfast, Potter of Augusta & Lord of Buxton with such as the Senate may join. Sent up for concurrence.

Report of Bill - An Act in addition to an act relating to the settlement and support of the poor that the same ought not to pass, was read and accepted in concurrence with the Senate.

Resolve to admit Sewall Cram to practice Law upon certain conditions, as an Attorney in the Court of Common Pleas, was read twice & passed to be engrossed in concurrence with the Senate.

Bill - An Act additional to an act to incorporate the Brunswick Company passed Feb. ^. 1834. was read 1st & 2d time & tomorrow at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Report on the order of the 12th inst. relative to improvements on real estate held as Dower, was read & accepted in concurrence with the Senate.
