Resolve for the purchase of a Library, reported by the Committee on the subject, was read twice & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Kennebec Granite Company, laid on the table by Mr Potter of Augusta was read once & referred to the Committee on Manufactures. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Umbagog Company was read a third time & passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

On motion by Mr Wells of Hallowell, Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to report a Bill - authorizing all corporations hereafter established to sue & be sued by their corporate name - have a common seal, - make laws not inconsistent with law - and divide their corporate property into as many shares as they may deem expedient. Sent up for concurrence.
