Resolve requiring a return of the names of Stockholders in the Banks of this State, came from the Senate referred to the Committee on Banks & Banking for concurrence, and the House concurred.

Petition of Edward Savage & others to be incorporated as the Maine Silk Culture & Manufacturing Company - was read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to the Committee on Manufactures.

Petition of Asa Clark & others to be incorporated as the Norridgewick Mill Dam Company was read & referred in concurrence with the Senate to the Committee on Interior Waters.

Bill - An Act to incorporate the Hampden House Proprietary, was read a third time & passed to be engrossed as amended. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - An Act to increase the Capital Stock of Maine Bank, was read once and Monday next at 10 oclock assigned for a second reading

On motion by Mr Comstock of Lubec Ordered, That the Committee on the Judiciary be instructed to inquire into the expediency of prohibiting by law the auction sale of the maintenance of Paupers by Towns. Sent up for concurrence.

Petitions of Elijah Grover to be incorporated for the purpose of unning [?] lumber over Carratunk fall - " Moosehead Lake Stream Navigation Company for an alteration of their Charter - " John Lee in relation to the Bucksport and Prospect Ferry were severally read and referred to the Committee
