Petition of Sullivan Dwight & others to be incorporated as a Burying Ground Corporation was read & referred to the Committee on Parishes. Sent up for concurrence.

Petition of William McLaughton for a correction of a mistake made in the settlement of his accounts for the year 1833. was read & referred to the Committee on Claims. Sent up for concurrence.

The Committee on Contested Elections made a detailed report, selling out the substance of the testimony given before them, and the grounds of their opinion in the case before them and concluding with the following Orders, Ordered, That Ephraim Weeks now holding a seat in this House from the town of Jefferson in the County of Lincoln is not entitled to the same further Ordered, That Jesse Rowell claiming the right to hold a seat in this House from said town of Jefferson is constitutionally entitled to the same : Read and passed - and the question of passing the same was taken by yeas and nays and decided in the affirmative as follows yeas 105. nays 43. [see appendix page 32.]

On motion by Mr Bannis of Buckfield Ordered, That the Committee on the Pay Roll be directed to make up travel & attendance for Ephraim Weeks as a member of this House including this day.
