63. Saturday January 16 1836

Met according to adjournment.

On motion by Mr Wait of Falmouth, Ordered That the Joint standing Committee on Roads & Bridges be instructed to inquire, if any, what alterations are necessary in the Act passed at the last session of the Legislature for the reduction of the rates of toll of Back Cove Bridge and whether the provisions of said act have been complied with. Sent up for concurrence.

Bill creating the village of Brunswick into a corporation for certain purposes, came from the Senate amended by striking out the last section for concurrence and the House concurred.

Mr Wilson of Bingham from the Committee on Parishes reported an order of Notice on the petition of Jacob Hays & others - and the report was accepted. Sent up for concurrence.

Mr Steward of Anson laid upon the table Bill - An Act relative to the collection of State Taxes, and assessments made by County Commissioners which was read 1st & 2 time & ordered to be laid upon the table and 300 Copies thereof printed for the use of the members.

A communication was received from Charles Greene signifying his acceptance as Councillor.

Leave to Withdraw, was reported on the petition of Samuel M Pond and others, & the report was accepted. Sent up for concurrence.
