14. The Committee on Contested Elections were nominated by the Speaker and appointed by the House as follows - viz Mr Parris of Buckfield Allen " Bangor Bunker " Cranberry Isle Lane " Hollis Hunt " Gorham Fosset " Bristol Paine " Hallowell
On motion by Mr Potter of Augusta, Ordered, That the certificates of the elections of members be taken from the files and referred to the Committee on Elections.
Adjourned to afternoon.

A message was received from the Senate by Mr Trafton their Secretary informing the House that a vacancy exists at that Board from the tenth Senatorial District and that John L Blake & Levi Johnson are the Constitutional Candidates to fill said vacancy, and proposing a Convention in the Representatives Hall at 11 o'clock tomorrow of both branches, for the purpose of filling such vacancy - and the House concurred and the Clerk was charged with a message to acquaint the Senate therewith.
