Bill to incorporate the Clerical Library Society of Cumberland, York, and Oxford, was taken up, and the question of indefinitely postponing said Bill, in concurrence with the House, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the negative, as follows, to wit; Yeas, Messrs Bridgham, Knowlton, Rogers, Smith and Williamson _ 5. Nays, Messrs Allen, Bradbury, Cobb, Chandler, Farnham, Farnsworth, Frye, Groton, Laberce, Manning, Pease, Pierce, Porter, and Prescott 14
The Senate reconsider their vote passing said Bill to be engrossed, amend the same, and the question of passing said Bill to be engrossed as amended being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative, as follows, to wit; Yeas, Messrs Allen, Brown, Chandler. Farnham, Farnsworth, Groton, Labarce [?], Manning, Pease, Pierce, Porter and Prescott _ 12 Nays Messrs Bridgham, Knowlton, Rogers, Smith and Williamson _ 5 Sent down for concurrence.
Bill to repeal an act to encourage the destruction of Crows, Bill to incorporate the Trustees of Lewiston Falls Academy, Bill to incorporate the Sullivan Granite Company, Resolve in favor of the town of Dennysville, " to carry into effect the law of March 4. 1833 relative to the education of Youth, severally read a second time, and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
