Bill to incorporate the County of Casco, was taken up. Mr Pierce moved to commit said Bill to a Joint Select Committee, and the question of committing the same, being ordered to be taken by yeas and nays, was decided in the affirmative as follows, to wit; Yeas Messrs Allen, Bridgham, Brown, Cobb, Farnsworth, Frye, Howard, Kelsey, Labaree, Manning, Pierce, Prescott, Rogers, Smith, Tobin & Williamson - 16. Nays Messrs. Bradbury, Chandler, Emmons, Farnham, Groton, Knowlton, and Pease - 7. And the same was committed to Messrs. Pierce, Groton, Rogers, Emmons and Tobin with such as the House may join. Sent down for concurrence. Concurred and Messrs. Small of Monmouth, Brackett of Acton, Pierce of Portland, Merrow of Bowdoinham, Brown of Weld, Lothrop of Searsmont, Hobart of Edmunds, Moore of Gouldsboro', and Dolbier of Kingfield are joined.
