Bill to incorporate the Trustees of Sanford Academy, Resolve for the benefit of the town of Newburgh, severally read a second time and passed to be engrossed. Sent down for concurrence.
Resolve in favor of Stephen Emerson, reported by Mr. Bradbury from the Committee on State Roads, on the petition of Stephen Emerson, Bill to organize, govern and discipline the Militia of this State was taken up, severally read and Tuesday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
Resolve providing for the purchase of the two first Volumes of the Laws of Maine, reported by Mr. Groton from the Committee on the Judiciary, to which was referred so much of the Governor's Message as relates to "a new edition of the two first Volumes of the Laws of Maine, was read once and Wednesday next at ten o'clock assigned for a second reading.
Bill to incorporate the East Machias and Machias Port Bridge Company, reported by Mr. Farnsworth from the Committee on Turnpikes, Bridges and Canals, to which said Bill and accompanying papers on the petition of T.A. Lowell and others had been recommitted, was read and ordered to lie on the table.
