165 Mr Groton, from the Committee on the Judiciary to which was referred the petition of Benjamin Weston Jr and others for a law inflicting further penalties on such persons as take and convert logs and other timber to their own use without the owners consent, report that further legislation on that subject is inexpedient; read and accepted.

The same gentleman, from the Committee on Claims to which was referred the petition of Levi Goodrich and others, and Charles Baker and others, made a report asking to be discharged from ant further consideration of the subjects, and that the same be referred to the Committee on State Roads, severally read and accepted.
