Kenduskeag June 20, 1862
Mr. Crosby N. Crocker of this town enlisted as teamster in the 2d Maine Regt July 1861 and served until a few weeks since when on account of sickness he was sent home where he arrived on the 31st [??]. [Begin underscore] He now wishes to return to his post [end underscore] and does not know what measures to take in the permission[??] has received no pay since the March payment, left "White House Sanctuary" so feeble that he took no papers with him. Will you please inform me by return mail of the proper course for him to pursue in order to get with his Regiment.
