222 Bill authorizing the South School District in the town of East- port to borrow money, was taken up and the House re- ceded from their former vote + referred the subject to the next Legislature.

On motion, Ordered, that the order of the 19th inst, direc- ting the committee on the Pay Roll to deduct from the daily pay of each member of the House the number of days he is absent +c be suspended in its operation.

Resolve, providing for payment of the Adjutant + Quarter Mas- ter Generals accounts, was taken up + the House adhered to their vote postponing the same indefinitely. Sent up.

Resolve in favor of Augustus G. Deal + Samuel Nelson laid on the table by Mr Swan, was read 1st + 2nd time + passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.

Resolve in favor of Joseph Griffin came from the Senate refused a second reading and the House receded and concurred with the Senate.

Ordered that the committee on the Pay Roll be directed to make up on the Pay Roll, the pay of the assistant Clerk at three dollars per day, for each and every day of actual service, being the same amount heretofore allowed that officer. read + passed.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Resolve, providing compensation for certain officers -

- providing for the repair of the Senate Chamber

which were severally passed. Sent up for concurrence.
