The House assigned tomorrow morning at ten oclock to take up the consideration of the report of the committee on the subject of the Northeastern boundary.

Bill concerning Sheriffs fees, was read a third time and passed to be engrossed. Sent up for concurrence.


Afternoon. Met according to adjournment.

Resolve providing for Clerkhire in the office of the Adjutant and Quarter Master General, was read a second time & on motion of Mr Hazeltine in definitely postponed. Sent up for concurrence.

The committee on engrossed Bills reported as duly engrossed Resolve relating to internal improvements - respecting the Proprietors of sidebooms in Androscoggin River- -in favor of Josiah Towle- which were severally finally passed. Sent up for concurrence.

The same committee reported as duly engrossed. Bill additional to an act relating to Fish in East Machias Waters-

- additional to an act to incorporate the Portland Stage Company - to incorporate the Master Wardens & Members of Meridian Splendor Lodge - authorizing the town of Eastport to assess a tax on the owners of Dogs- - in addition to an act entitled an additional act respecting Banks- -repealing the second section of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Maine historical Society- - to cede to the United States the jurisdiction of certain tracts of lands- which were severally passed to be enacted.. Sent up for concurrence.
