Bill - in addition to an act entitled an Act respecting Banks was read a 1st & 2nd time and Tuesday next at ten oclock assigned for a 3d reading.

Messrs Hazeltine of Seansmont, and Cushing of Camden have leave of absence after Wednesday next during the remainder of the session.

Mr Mitchell of Freeport has leave of absence after Tuesday next during the remainder of the session.

Bill - to incorporate the Proprietors of the Bangor Pier Corporation came from the Senate passage refused. The House insist on their vote passing the Bill to be engrossed, propose a conference and appoint as conferees on their part Messrs Carpenter of Howland, Bennock of Orono & Leonard of Brewer. Sent up.

The committee on Finance reported that it is necessary to raise the present year by way of a State tax, forty nine thousand nine hundred & eighty eight dollars and that a Bill providing for the assessment and collection of said sum apportioning the same on polls & estates in the manner of the last tax act, be be prepared & reported by the committee on finance - and the report was read & accepted.

Bill - to annex a part of the estate of Isaac Lambert to the town of Durham, was read once & refused a second reading - Sent up for concurrence.

Bill - providing for State Paupers, was read once & referred to Messrs Kilby of Eastport, Hubbard of Shapleigh, Jewett of Scarboro' Tarbox of Edgecomb, Howard of Leeds, Hamlin of Waterford, Pierce of Moscow, Gould of Sangerville, Cushing of Camden & Higgins of Eden.
