Board, the returns of Votes for Governor
Mr Dennet came from the Senate with a message informing the House of the organization of that body by the election of Robert P Dunlap President and Ebenezer Hutchinson Secretary.
Adjourned until afternoon
Afternoon. Met according to adjournment.
Ordered that the Clerk forthwith employ some suitable person to assist him in the discharge of the duties of his office.
The Clerk accordingly appointed Carleton Dole Esqr of Alna.
Ordered that this House will elect by ballot a Chaplain, and that tomorrow at ten oclock be assigned for that purpose.
Message from the Senate by Mr Hutchinson, their Secretary,Informing the House that the Senate have voted to hold two sessions each day until otherwise ordered to commence at 1/2 past nine oclock in the morning and at three in the afternoon, excepting on Mondays, and on that day at eleven oclock.
