[main body] and on order of January 10th to consider the expediency of repealing the 9th. section of the Act to establish the Damariscotta canal passed March 10th 1821 asked leave to be discharged from the fur- -ther consideration thereof, believing that, if the proposed repeal ought to be made it should originate by petition and notice to those adversely interested.
